What Buyers Should Know

Dallas County contains the City of Dallas plus Irving, Garland, Mesquite, Grand Prairie (partial), Carrollton (partial), Richardson (partial), DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, and dozens of smaller incorporated cities and unincorporated areas. The District (downtown Dallas), Bishop Arts, Lake Highlands, Oak Lawn, Uptown, East Dallas, Pleasant Grove, Casa Linda, and Lakewood neighborhoods anchor the urban core. Most Dallas buyers qualify for at least one TSAHC or TDHCA program. The City of Dallas Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) applies only inside Dallas city limits and is administered by the City of Dallas Department of Housing & Neighborhood Revitalization.
