TCPA Consent
TCPA Consent
This page describes how ShopDPA® obtains your consent under the federal Telephone Consumer
Protection Act (TCPA, 47 U.S.C. §227 and related FCC rules) before contacting you about your
inquiry. The full text of the consent shown below appears next to the submit button on the
ShopDPA lead form, where you must affirmatively check a box to give consent. We do not
contact you by autodialed call or text without that affirmative consent.
The consent you give at the lead form
When you submit any lead form on shopdpa.com, you check a
box next to the following statement:
By clicking “See My Options” (or the equivalent submit button), I
expressly authorize ShopDPA® (operated by ShopDPA LLC) and the licensed mortgage
professional(s) ShopDPA refers me to in our partner
network to contact me at the phone number(s) and email address(es) I provided —
including via automated dialing systems, prerecorded or artificial voice messages, and SMS
text messages — for the purpose of discussing my mortgage and down payment assistance
inquiry, even if the number is on a Federal or State Do Not Call list.My consent is not required to obtain any service or information from ShopDPA.
Standard message and data rates may apply. I can opt out at any time by replying STOP to
any text message, by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing
unsubscribe@shopdpa.com.By submitting this form, I also agree to ShopDPA’s Privacy
Policy and Terms of Service.
How consent is captured and stored
- The checkbox is unchecked by default. You must affirmatively check it before submitting.
- Your consent is timestamped and recorded along with your IP address using a third-party verification service (TrustedForm or equivalent).
- We retain the consent record for at least five (5) years to satisfy federal recordkeeping under the TCPA.
- If you submit the form without checking the consent box, we will not contact you using autodialed calls or text messages.
Opting out
You can opt out of communications from ShopDPA or the partner mortgage professional you were referred to at any time:
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text from us. We will stop all text marketing within a reasonable period (no longer than 10 business days).
- Emails: click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Phone calls: tell the caller you do not wish to be contacted further, or email unsubscribe@shopdpa.com with your phone number and the request to be added to our internal Do Not Call list.
- All channels: email unsubscribe@shopdpa.com with your details and the channels you want to opt out of.
Note: opting out from ShopDPA does not automatically opt you out from the partner mortgage
professional you were referred to. Each partner maintains its own contact lists and opt-out
procedures. If you no longer wish to be contacted by a specific partner, contact that partner
directly to opt out of their communications.
Consent is not a condition of any service
You are not required to give TCPA consent to receive information from ShopDPA. If you would
like to research Texas DPA programs without giving consent to be contacted, you can read our
educational guides at /learn/ and contact a partner mortgage
professional directly through the contact information on our
License Information page.
