What Buyers Should Know

Pearland ISD serves approximately 21,000 students across most of Pearland in Brazoria County. Pearland HS, Dawson HS, and Turner College & Career HS anchor the district.

TSAHC’s Homes for Texas Heroes program lists five public school roles: full-time classroom teachers, teacher aides, school librarians, school counselors, and school nurses. Pearland ISD employees in those roles may qualify for down payment and closing cost help of up to 5% of the loan amount, with no first-time-buyer requirement, and a 2026 income limit of about $214,200 in Brazoria County, at any household size.

School jobs outside those five, such as administrators and support staff, aren’t on TSAHC’s Heroes list, but those employees may still qualify for Home Sweet Texas, which offers the same kind of assistance with a Brazoria County limit of about $189,000. First-time buyers may also be able to add a Mortgage Credit Certificate.
